FISCHERSCOPE X-RAY SYSTEM XDLM-PCB

Description

FISCHERSCOPE X-RAY SYSTEM XDLM-PCB
The Fischerscope® X-Ray XDLM® PCB is specially configured to measure coating thickness on printed circuit boards using the X-ray fluorescence method according to DIN 50987 or ISO3497 and ASTM B568.The Fischerscope XDLM PCB features a micro-focal X-ray tube and a high precision, high speed, programmable XY measuring stage with X-Y travel distances of 10″ (250 mm) and 5.8″ (148 mm) respectively. The stage automatically moves to the loading position where a marker beam accurately positions the test piece. The large 12″ X 18″ X 20″ (300 mm X 460 mm X 500 mm) slotted measuring chamber easily handles oversize boards. Measurement points are easily programmed through a simple point and click procedure. Programs can consist of grid arrays, selected points, or a combination of grid and selected points. A single and two point offset feature automatically adjusts programs for parts that are out of position on the measurement stage.

The X-ray measuring head is programmable in the Z-axis, with a travel distance of 5.7″ (145 mm). The micro-focus X-ray tube H.V. setting is adjustable to 50 kV, 40 kV or 30 kV to optimize applications. Collimators are available in 4 and 8 mil assemblies.

The XDLM PCB also incorporates Fischer’s Distance Control Method (DCM) for correcting the distance between the test piece and collimator. Through WinFTM and an optical focusing system, DCM automatically corrects the different intensities of the fluorescence spectra at different measurement distances for more accurate measurement results.
